Data sources (white list)

How weekly reports are built

  1. Collect signals from the past seven days across all covered chains.
  2. Deduplicate and rank by on-chain impact, reach and novelty.
  3. Summarise, cross-verify against a second source, then comment.
  4. Compute week-over-week change and a trailing four-week baseline with guarded helpers, so the first week of a series cannot wrap around to the last.
  5. Screen for anomalies using a z-score against the four-week baseline.

Formulas we publish

W/W % = ( ( current / previous ) - 1 ) x 100
Share % = ( chain metric / ecosystem total ) x 100
z-score = ( current - 4-wk baseline ) / stdev( baseline )
Turnover = weekly DEX volume / TVL

Known limitations

Data sources and refresh

Activity figures (TVL, DEX volume, stablecoin supply, network fees) and yield levels are pulled from DefiLlama's public API, not hand-entered. Stock metrics such as TVL and stablecoin supply are Sunday snapshots; flow metrics such as DEX volume and fees are summed across the seven daily observations ending that Sunday. Yield aggregates are TVL-weighted, with small pools and outliers excluded. The site rebuilds against the latest data whenever the editors refresh it, so the figures shown are always current to the most recent complete week.
